We build what we believe in: why J3T creates and runs its own ventures

J3T builds its own ideas and runs its own businesses. Every venture in our portfolio, from cancer-risk detection to functional nutrition, started as an idea inside our team and is operated by our team. Some were born from personal experience: we have watched family and friends face these problems up close, and we want no one else to go through the same. We are not a fund that writes checks and waits, and we are not a consultancy that advises and leaves. We are builders: our idea, our execution, our responsibility. That is what backed by purpose means to us.

Why build our own ventures instead of backing someone else's?

Because conviction cannot be outsourced. When you have lived a problem yourself, you know why it matters, who it is for and how far you will go to solve it. Building our own ventures also lets us control the three things that decide whether a business succeeds: the team, the speed and the standard.

And we are accountable for the result. There is no one else to blame if the numbers do not move. That pressure is exactly what we want.

Where do our ideas come from?

From problems we have lived, not just studied. Some are personal. We have sat in waiting rooms with people we love, and we know how much an early detection can change the story. That is why our healthcare venture exists. Others we have seen up close in 106 years of combined experience across healthcare, consumer goods, sports and technology: athletes losing their potential for lack of data, and good nutrition staying too expensive for most families.

Each J3T vertical answers one of those problems: Healthcare, Superfoods, Sports, Wellness and the Tech & AI that powers them all. If an idea does not help people live longer and better, it does not become a J3T venture.

How does an idea become a J3T business?

We follow the same path every time.

  1. Find the problem. One we understand from experience, not from a report.

  2. Validate it fast. Talk to customers, test the offer and check the numbers before we spend real money.

  3. Build it ourselves. Brand, product, pricing, suppliers and team, led by the founders.

  4. Launch in one market. Prove it works where we know the terrain best.

  5. Scale across countries. Mexico, Spain, Argentina and the United States are built into the plan from day one.

Who runs each venture?

We do. Each founder leads the function they have mastered across their career: marketing and growth, finance, commercial, sales and go-to-market, and operations. Every venture gets that senior team from the first day, working on it directly, not supervising from a distance.

This is how we played rugby for ten years: everyone in the game, everyone responsible for the outcome.

Do we ever work with outside founders?

Sometimes, and selectively. When a founder brings a business that fits our purpose and can scale, we may join and help operate it. But that is an extension of what we do, not the core. The core is simple: we build what we believe in, and we run it ourselves.

If you want to invest in, partner with or join one of our ventures, tell us who you are.
